Solution for the issue where the IP doesn't change after connecting, causing frequent game disconnections due to conflicts between Ipv6 and Ipv4. Today, we have a solution: just disable Ipv6 first. It's more reassuring, trust me. You can follow these steps easily.
IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6) is a new version of the internet protocol designed to replace IPv4, featuring 128-bit addresses, supporting more devices, reducing the use of NAT, improving security, and enhancing internet connectivity efficiency to accommodate future usage with more online devices.
NAT (Network Address Translation) is a technique used to convert internal network IP addresses (Private IP) to public IP addresses (Public IP) so that multiple devices can access the internet through the same IP address, which helps reduce the use of the limited number of IPv4 addresses.
IPv4 uses a 32-bit address, supports fewer devices, and is running out. NAT is needed to share addresses. In contrast, IPv6 uses a 128-bit address, which is sufficient for all devices, does not require sharing, reduces connection issues, and is more secure.
Some game servers may not yet support IPv6 or may have connection issues when using IPv6, which can lead to problems connecting to the game server or cause slow connection issues. IPv6 can cause confusion in selecting the correct IP address between IPv4 and IPv6, potentially resulting in unstable game connections or inability to access the server. Disabling IPv6 can help reduce connection issues caused by using both IPv4 and IPv6 together.
1.Go to Start and search for Control Panel.
2.Select Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center
3.Click Change adapter settings (on the left side)
4.Right-click on the internet connection you are using and select Properties.
5.Scroll down to find Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)
6.Remove the checkmark to disable IPv6.
7.Press OK and restart the computer.
1. Open Command Prompt (CMD)
Press Windows + R → Type cmd → Press Enter
2. Type this command and press Enter
ipconfig /all
3. Look at "IPv6 Address"
If you still see IPv6 addresses like 2001:... or 2600:..., it means IPv6 is still enabled.
If there is only fe80::... (Link-local address) Or if there is no IPv6 at all, it means that IPv6 has been completely disabled.
1. Open the web browser to test-ipv6.com
2. Waiting for the system to check the network
3. The displayed results
